Altierus Career College-Chesapeake enrolls 175 undergrads


At Altierus Career College-Chesapeake, 62 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 65 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in Chesapeake enrolled 175 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 14.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

96 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 4 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (59 percent) and white (25 percent).
