Quality full color printing services are offered
Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.
As the New Year rang in, Hackworth Graphics & Printing, a family-owned Chesapeake-based business, celebrated its acquisition of Suffolk-based copy shop Copico.
Mark Rowan, marketing director for Hackworth, said talks related to the purchase began in August. He said it is not Hackworth’s policy to divulge the sales price.
“We’ve always been able to serve people in that area, but this will give us more visibility,” Rowan said.
Hackworth, at 1700 Liberty St. in Chesapeake, was opened in 1991 by Dorothy and Charlie Hackworth and their son, Charles Hackworth II.
Back then, the bulk of their work was printing blueprints and technical documents.
Today, 27 years later, Hackworth has grown to provide a variety of services including design, graphics, signage and marketing. The business's in-house capabilities include books and manuals, scanning, industrial screen printing, vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, magnets, banners, window graphics and website design.
