3.1 percent of Radford University students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 3.1 percentage of Radford University students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Radford University has 8,418 undergraduate students, of which 57 percent are women and 43 percent are men, and a total student body of 9,418 students. Of these students, 121 men and 170 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Radford University with the most participants are soccer (61), all track combined (59) and baseball (35).
