Graduates earn 1,106 degrees from Longwood University


About 13.7 percent of the 1,106 degrees and certificates handed out by Longwood University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Farmville conferred 135 bachelor's degrees and 17 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 147 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 135 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 77 master's degrees in general education.

The university enrolled 5,074 students for 2017-18, including 4,472 in undergraduate programs and 602 in graduate programs.
