The Plains, Virginia had a population of 169 people in 2017, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Virginia Business Daily.

The median age was 45, with 67.5 percent of the total population being female and 32.5 percent male.

The state’s total population in 2017 was 8,365,952.
