61 percent of applicants to Averett University were admitted for fall 2018


At Averett University, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Danville enrolled 961 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 6.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

44 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 47 percent are residents of other states. 9 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (57 percent) and Black or African American (29 percent).

The school admitted 61 percent of the 2,833 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
